Talk about a conspiracy theory. NZ Rugby have conveniently deigned to schedule an All Blacks vs Italy test the day before Spoof. Consider our willing acceptance that sporting human excellence can only be achieved right before plummeting face-first into debauchery officially noted.
Think of it as your last opportunity to partake in anything resembling organisation, skill and professionalism before we dedicate an entire day to shunning all of the above with reckless abandon.
Meet at the Dockie for the return of refined-ish company and quickly devolving decisions that really should not be made. Delicious eats, wine that is perfectly reasonable at lunch and profoundly regrettable by dinner, and dozens of sure things turning into nothing feels absolutely guaranteed.
Price: $260 per participant. Should leave you plenty of leftover cash to cover the Calcutta. Amazing Dockside eats are on the menu, with an embarrassment of wine riches, and an entire day of nefarious mocking, forgetting, and bravado that will surely be denied the following day .. or years to come depending on the outcome.
Dress Code: Blazer preferred, standards optional. If you look sharp in a bowtie at 12pm and questionable by 3pm, you’ve understood the assignment. Bonus dishonour for anyone who turns up underdressed, underprepared, or with a strategy.
